Went to Fairport Tuesday afternoon for evening fishing.
Ran out at 5 pm to S. Summer Island 120’.  Little bumpy but decent.  Trolled south for an hour between 120’-140’. Marked very few fish and a couple bait pods.  When we got to be a little south ov Poverty, we turned N. and headed with the waves angling in to check shallower water and began marking bait and few fish once we got to 115’.  Kept heading north along Summer Island, still marking the occasional bait pod but no fish.  Reached the Gap about an hour and a half before dark and worked back and forth marking a lot of bait and finally some fish , all around 65’-75’ down.  Not one “shaker” or release all night. Somewhere in the middle it rained pretty hard.  The water is really high down there too.  When we got in there were a couple guys cleaning fish but I didn’t go in to see what they had.  A lot of boats headed S past Summer and did not run back in at dark, maybe the bite is late because we came in at 10:30 (EST) and most of the boats were still hanging in there.

Full moon out now, so that could influence fish and fishing into the night. I have not done consistently well fishing down there on a full moon, but I have off Mansitique if the water temperatures weren't too high to push fish way out of preferred temperature.

Did you hit any kind of temperature break consistently in the water column? Did you rotate your spread throughout the time on the water?

Lot of clutter on the graph around 55’,
thought maybe thermocline so we moved some gear into it, even marked a few fish in it but no takers.  Never really took notice of the moon.  Still not deterred, look forward to next trip down.
